When I first began making dolls I had the chance to go to Camp Doll U (I live in the Northwest so it was an easy drive) Sherry Goshon taught this doll called "Spring, the traveling Fairy"
Things I learned making this doll:
- This was the first time I tried out the idea of using a wrapped armature for a body.
- The face was made with Sculpy using one of Sherry's press molds then, after baking, covered with knit fabric and painted and shaded to accent the details of the face.
- There was a pattern for wings which I didn't do. It seemed to me I had a brownie and not a fairy here.
