This is a pattern by Pegl White called Quilters Fairy Godmother. The pattern cover says "Quick & Easy" & "Fun to Do"
Things I learned making this doll:
  • She's a "pancake" doll with a twist. The legs are stuffed first and then given a quarter of a turn and stiched to the body so the toes point forward. Clever!
  • I quoted "Quick & Easy" from the pattern cover because all the little appliqued and stitched hearts took quite a while to do, as did her patchwork wings.
  • She was fun to do, and would indeed make a nice gift for a quilter.
